Drugs, Gun Seized Following Drug Investigation In Ashland

ASHLAND, OH - Ashland Police and the METRICH Enforcement Unit seized drugs, cash, paraphernalia, and a firearm following an investigation on Monday, October 16th. 

Curtis Crowell (age 33) of Ashland was arrested by Ashland police after Ashland Police Detective Brian Evans, member of the METRICH Drug Task Force, had interrupted a suspected drug deal in the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot, 1996 E. Main St. Evans was at the store conducting un-related follow-up when the incident occurred.

The investigation resulted in a search warrant which was executed at Crowell's residence on Virginia Avenue later that day. Police seized suspected heroin, suspected crack cocaine, a 40-cal. pistol, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Crowell has been charged with one count of trafficking in cocaine with a firearms specification, a felony of the third degree.
