Patrol Investigating Motorcycle VS. Amish Buggy Crash On 301

WEST SALEM, OH - The Ohio Highway Patrol and Town & Country Fire Department along with Town & Country EMS responded to a Motorcycle versus Amish buggy accident around 7:15 p.m. Sunday night on State Route 301 between West Salem and I-71.

Bradley Perkins, 47, of West Salem was riding a 2006 Victory Kingpin Motorcycle Southbound on State Route 301 when he struck an Amish buggy in the rear causing his motorcycle to go off the left side of the highway.

Andy Hershberger, of West Salem was in a horse-drawn Buggy also going Southbound on State Route 301 when he was struck from the rear.

Hershberger and his Horse were not injured.

Trooper Marshall of the Ashland Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said Perkins was transported by Town & Country Fire EMS to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Lodi Hospital with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
