Kingwood Center Celebrates Founder's 150th Birthday

MANSFIELD, OH - Kingwood Center celebrated the 150th Birthday of its founder, Charles Kelley King, on Thursday night. Visitors were treated to hot coffee, fruit punch, and a variety of cupcake flavors, including chocolate, vanilla, orange, cranberry, and more.

The 47-acre estate was built in 1926 for King and his wife. Kingwood Center opened as a public garden in 1953, one year after Charles Kelley King's death. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
