ASHLAND, OH - Even after a late comeback by the Arrows, the Blue Streaks start the season with a 65-54 victory.

Ashland got the first bucket of the night after the opening tip-off, but that would be their only lead of the game as Sandusky scored the next 14 points in the first quarter. The Blue Streaks were on fire from beyond the arc in the first half with seven three-pointers. After Sandusky started the third quarter on a 9-0 run, Ashland slowly began to chip at the Streak's lead. By the fourth quarter, the Arrows reduced the lead to three, but their inability to come up with shots late ultimately cost them as Sandusky comes out with the win.

Sandusky senior Keith Williams led all players with 19 points while teammate Dylan Jones had 12 points on four, three-pointers.

Ashland junior Garrett Denbow was the Arow's leading scorer with 15 points while Kamrin Knowlton-Goings registered 12.
